Owls and Condors qualify to nationals

Week 3 of the 2019 season was a huge success for GymACT members all across the country. Southern California United hosted ASU Maroon at their first home meet. Washington competed in Chicago at the Windy City Invitational. NYA attended a fundraising event at Brockport Gymnastics. But the top honors in "making history" category is shared by Temple (Owls) and NorCal United (Condors). Competing on opposite coasts against some of the top NCAA teams, both programs surpassed the 275-point mark necessary to qualify to Collegiate National Championships as a team. They now join ASU, Southern California United and Washington, all of whom also have recorded the necessary scores to qualify as a team.

Competing at Navy Open (who, incidentally, will host National Championships), Temple enjoyed shared the experience with a number of alumni who showed up to support their beloved Owls.

At Stanford, NorCal struggled with a few key performances early in their meet. The young team still competes with "every score" counting, but they pulled together as one, and fought to the very end. The Condors performed their best routines on their last two events, guaranteeing the qualifying scores.

Congratulations to EVERYONE! You've invested so much time and energy, thru training, competing and fundraising. You put your heart and souls into this journey and your hard work and dedication pays off many-fold. We cannot wait to see what comes next in this amazing history.
