From the Coaches
MINNESOTA:

With the regular season behind us and the Championship season ahead of us, we scheduled a short break for our team over spring break. Unfortunately at the end of spring break, Minneapolis was hit with a huge snowstorm that impacted lots of travel plans which gave a few guys a few more days of being out of the gym. Three meets remain on our schedule: GymACT All Stars at the NAIGC Nationals in Birmingham, AL on April 10; Eastern Conference Championships in West Palm Beach, FL on April 25 in conjunction with USAG Eastern JD Nationals; and then GymACT Nationals on May 9 in Oklahoma City, OK in conjunction with USAG JD Nationals. Lots of exciting competition still ahead of us.

Gymnast of the Week 11

Aaron Giedt - North Carolina Airmen
Aaron is in the process of refining his routines, cleaning up the rough edges from earlier in the season. As the Airmen begin preparing for Conference Championships, Aaron put in his best effort to date, achieving personal high scores on Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, and All Around. Being one of our remote athletes in Charlotte, he has combined the coaching efforts of the local gym club (Zenith Gymnastics) with the online coaching efforts of the Airmen staff to improve his competitive edge. Aaron was our most dependable athlete at the virtual meet with New York Alliance and is the Airmen’s nominee for Gymnast of the Week.
MEET THE COACH:

Minnesota assistant coach Bob Wuornos turned 79 this week.
Happy Birthday, Coach
CONNECTING THE DOTS: Growing Gophers
