WELCOME TO OUR
GYMACT NATIONALS
Saturday, May 14 at 5:00 PM (MST)
Bell Bank Park, Mesa, AZ

President's Remarks:
WE MADE IT!!! We survived another year of COVID, uncertainty, and financial challenges. But we are here!! Welcome to the 2nd GymACT National Championships. To have our meet on the floor of this USAG JD Championship once again gives credence to the fact that men's college gymnastics continues to grow in numbers, interest, and in quality. We have tried a few new things this year as we continue to explore ways to help grow our sport on the collegiate level creating more opportunities. We had a more robust Conference Championship bracket that ended with 2 outstanding Conference Championship meets and winners- Iowa in the West and Minnesota in the East. We went to 5 up/ 4 count for team scoring and had a good balance of in-person and virtual competitions that helped all our teams manage their budgets better.
We want to thank USAG's Lisa Mendel and Jason Woodnick along with this weekend's Event Managers Al and Cindy Scharns for helping make this night a reality by squeezing this championship meet into what was already a full and challenging National Meet. What a journey each of our teams has been on, but we are so glad to be here with you sharing this great event & weekend together.
GymACT is a non-profit (501C-3) organization whose mission is TO FOSTER THE GROWTH OF MEN'S COLLEGIATE GYMNASTICS. I know there are many of you coming to watch tonight that want to see more opportunities on the collegiate level. Well, we started with 6 teams in 2018, and this year we welcomed the 12th, 13th, and 14th teams to join- Minnesota, Texas, and Iowa. Tonight you will be watching 12 teams plus individuals (all 14 programs represented). This means more opportunities for young aspiring gymnasts to have the awesome experience of being a part of a college team while pursuing a college education.
But with all the excitement, please understand that each team is non-funded by their respective schools and raises 100% of their budgets each year through fundraising, donations, and sponsorships. Please consider adopting a team and helping GymACT as a whole keep the great tradition of men's college gymnastics alive well into the future. We are currently looking for sponsorship partners that would like to be a part of seeing GymACT grow stronger in providing more opportunities for student-athletes in the coming years. If you are interested or know businesses/ corporations that are in a position to help, please contact me directly. And be sure to stop by our GymACT table to say hi and meet some of our coaches.
Now, sit back and enjoy the pleasure of an exciting evening of college team gymnastics as they come together to vie for the National Team title. And cheer on your favorite gymnast and team.
Is this a great sport or what?!
